KING JAIME FESTIVAL AT SANTA PONSA
Do not miss this trip to medieval times!One of the best festivals of the year to enjoy the activities that Santa Ponsa offers.
- Every year in the month of September, Santa Ponsa (Calvià) commemorates the conquest of Mallorca by the King Jaume I (1229). For more than a week, several events are held among sports, theater performances, music concerts, a medieval market with demonstrations of traditional crafts. Since 1995 the City Council and the Neighborhood Association have collaborated together in the celebration of the King Jaume festivities, which today is considered the most important in the municipality of Calvià.
- The central act of the festivities is the parade of Moors and Christian troops to the beat of the music of the time, members who later will stage the final battle between both sides on the beach of Santa Ponsa. The collaboration of all generations and neighbors who prepare with great care, throughout the year, the essence of a new edition.
- On the last day, the end of all the activities, the festival closures with a fireworks night that is the delight of all the spectators to give the last touch to such a beautiful time of year.

MEDIEVAL MARKET
- The second weekend of September, to culminate with the festivities dates, our medieval market rises, which is located, essentially, on the route of the main promenade of the Santa Ponsa coast.
- With a captivating decoration and capable of transporting us to past times, all the stalls, both varied crafts and drinks and food, are attended by the artisans and staff with typical clothing of the time, achieving a very special atmosphere.
For MY COPPER BONSAI it is already part of our tradition and we are looking forward to these holidays with great enthusiasm. Every year we go above and beyond and add details to our stand, booth to bring authenticity and, let's be honest, fun for both ourselves and visitors. We designed our medieval family crest that we expose with great pride. We develop a one-piece demo workshop over the course of four days and handle as well smaller special requests.
